Bargello Flame Pillow (Stitch your own) Purple/Yellow PRE-ORDER

Bargello Flame Pillow (Stitch your own) Purple/Yellow PRE-ORDER
This is a pre-order - kits will ship in the first week of April. Please make sure to select ‘square’ or ‘lumbar’ sized pillow.
Stitch your own Bargello Pillow. This kit contains everything you need to stitch a Bargello pillow (square or lumbar shaped) including the canvas, full color instructions, yarn, and needles.
Bargello is a centuries old needlepoint technique that originated in Bargello Palace in Florence, Italy - it uses parallel stitches stacked in various patterns that are repeated over the entire canvas. It is a forgiving and rewarding technique - easy to learn and quick to stitch. The steady rhythm of the stitch is meditative in the best possible way — repetitive enough to be calming, absorbing enough to keep you completely present.
This kit takes you through the entire process to create the stitched canvas and has notes on how to sew your finished piece into a pillow (pillow insert and backing materials not included).
Please come and find me on Instagram (@Stephanie_Little_O) for more tutorials and details on how to stitch.
The finished Square Pillow is 18”
The finished Lumbar Pillow is 12” x 25”
You have the option to include a striped black and white border and/or tassels.
What's in the kit
Blank 13-mesh Zweigart canvas, ready to stitch
Appletons Wool in all the colors you need
A full set of tapestry needles
A to-scale printed pattern
Full colour step-by-step instructions — clear enough for a confident beginner, satisfying for an experienced stitcher
A note on skill level
Bargello looks impressively complex but is actually built on a single, straightforward stitch. If you can follow a color sequence, you can do this. The instructions walk you through everything from starting your thread to finishing your edges, so you won't be left guessing.
A note on finishing
The kit does not include backing fabric or pillow insert — you'll source these yourself, which means you get to choose exactly the velvet, linen or fabric that suits your space. Full instructions for making up your finished piece into a pillow are included, guiding you through the process from completed canvas to pillow-ready finish. For US customers I offer a finishing service - see separate listing for details.
